Responsibilities
Manage and optimize the purchasing and inventory management department.
Establish or negotiate contractual terms, conditions for awarding contracts to suppliers, or make recommendations on contract awards.
Conduct bid requests, consult with suppliers, and review pricing proposals.
Procure equipment, materials, and services for construction projects.
Ensure necessary controls and follow-ups for the sound financial management of the department.
Plan, schedule, and forecast procurement activities according to project needs.
Work closely with project managers and estimators to understand their needs, follow up, and provide guidance.
Contribute to loss prevention, effective equipment management, and proper tool management.
Participate in the improvement of policies, procedures, and documentation related to purchasing department activities.
Qualifications
You have a college diploma in accounting and management with a specialization in procurement management, or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
You have 5 to 7 years of experience.
You have experience in construction and knowledge of building materials (mandatory).
You have a good knowledge of the MS Office suite.
You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
You have a strong customer service orientation, both internal and external.
You have a good command of English.
You have a good knowledge of ERP systems.
You are skilled in organization and file management.
Your Excel skills are at a beginner level.
