Responsibilities
Forecasting, planning, and assessing needs for goods and services; managing budgets and preparing reports; liaising with suppliers and following up on delivery times; negotiating with suppliers to ensure best costs and researching new suppliers; managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process; following market trends; preparing contractual agreements using company templates; analyzing contracts for compliance; liaising with internal business partners and external suppliers; negotiating with suppliers to secure best terms and pricing.
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in procurement with increasing responsibility; university degree in logistics, business administration, purchasing, or supply chain management; strong market awareness. Preferred qualifications include applicable procurement-related certifications, finance and budgeting experience, experience in a financial institution, and 2-4 years of experience with contracting best practices and business decision-making in a Contract Specialist context with increasing scope of responsibility; post-secondary degree/certification in logistics, business administration, law, purchasing and supply chain management or equivalent working experience; experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., iValua, Coupa, Ariba, etc.); familiarity with Professional Services and IT services.
