Responsibilities
Design, develop, and produce process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and mass balance calculations.
Develop treatment protocols and establish equipment sizing criteria.
Conduct technical evaluations and provide supporting analysis, reports, and specifications.
Stay up to date with advancements in water and industrial wastewater process technologies.
Document changes to process scope and design.
Provide project support, peer reviews, and technical guidance to other engineering staff.
Assist with site audits, installation, and commissioning activities as needed.
Establish and maintain open communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality products and services.
Qualifications
A degree in chemical engineering (undergraduate or graduate) or a minimum of 3 years of experience in the design, operations, and engineering of water and wastewater systems.
Registered as a Professional Engineer or eligible for registration with the PEO.
In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes, including redox reactions, precipitation, lime softening, clarification, filtration, dewatering, ion exchange, and membrane technologies.
Ability to develop innovative and proprietary process solutions.
Experience with metals, mining, and industrial wastewater processing technologies, techniques, and equipment is highly desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Open to domestic and international travel.
Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
Project management experience and/or training.
