Responsibilities
Lead the optimization of EAF and BOF operations to improve metal production and product quality.
Oversee the performance of blast furnace tuyeres, ensuring efficient oxygen injection and heat distribution.
Improve centrifugal and sand casting processes, focusing on reducing defects and maximizing yield.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across EAF, BOF, casting, and blast furnace systems.
Ensure product quality meets customer specifications and provide technical support to customers as needed.
Work with customers to understand their requirements and adjust processes to meet those needs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, enhance yield, and improve process reliability.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and maintain process documentation, reports, and KPIs for management.
Provide training and technical support to operators and maintenance teams.
Work with auxiliary steelmaking technologies and support operations to integrate additional steelmaking processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
5+ years of experience in steel or ironmaking, with knowledge of EAF, BOF, blast furnace tuyeres, and casting technologies.
Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills.
Experience working with customers and understanding their technical requirements in a steelmaking context.
Familiarity with auxiliary steelmaking processes, such as secondary refining, ladle metallurgy, and other post-furnace treatments.
Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
