Responsibilities
-Execute process, risk, and control self-assessments and recommend automation or enhancement opportunities.
-Conduct testing of key controls within established deadlines, applying testing methodology.
-Ensure that exceptions are properly analyzed, reported, and tracked to resolution.
-Support businesses in developing action/remediation plans to address internal control gaps and root causes.
-Assist in the assessment of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
-Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency in control testing.
-Participate in ad-hoc initiatives and risk/control strategies.
-Foster a collaborative work environment through effective communication and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
-Minimum 5 years of overall experience, with at least 2 years in risk, audit, or compliance.
-Quality control testing experience (2 years).
-Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
-Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and new situations.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
-Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have:
-Experience with Alteryx.
-Banking industry experience.
-Background in surveillance, front-office trading, or middle-office P&L.
-Professional accounting/auditing/risk management designation is an asset.
