This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours) that includes a competitive salary, benefits, and 3 weeks of vacation.
Responsibilities
Serve as the single point of contact for network bids, sales, existing customers, as well as for tenders and inquiries.
Responsible for receiving, distributing, and communicating with all relevant parties.
Initiate requests with carriers, vendors, origin/destination offices, and other service providers.
Manage all functions, deadlines, and necessary steps for bid responses and submissions.
Keep the marketing and commercial documents repository updated, as well as company information to be included in tender responses.
Coordinate and advise on any necessary internal or external communication.
Complete all bid documentation or ensure that the responsible parties do so.
Review client requests and prepare sales rate quotes.
Provide assistance to improve products and services.
Research, manage, and communicate with supplier partners for the following: (logistical solutions; service delivery and cost calculation, price negotiations with various carriers, completion of quote request forms, transmission of customer service issues to the appropriate departments).
Continuously improve and advise on internal systems and procedures to increase efficiency, transparency, and cost accuracy.
Participate in and supervise strategic discussions related to procurement, service delivery, and supplier selection.
Work with sales, operations, and customer service to ensure proper and adequate transitions for new and/or existing activities.
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience in pricing or procurement is an asset.
Experience in air and sea logistics – import/export.
A certification or degree in a related field is an asset.
Strong skills in using Excel and other MS Office applications are required.
Basic knowledge of customs regulations (AMPS, B13, ACI, CSI...) is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to prioritize and organize the assigned workload effectively.
Ability to work under pressure.
