The primary purpose of this position is to provide full scale analysis, repair/assembly and testing of complete scope of products serviced by the service center. Emphases on this position will be reconditioning of power circuit breakers with ability to troubleshoot and correct both electrical and mechanical problems.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm
Location: Ardelt & Hanson, Kitchener ON
Pay: $26.89/hr

Responsibilities
> Responsible for performing quality assembly and testing of the complete scope of products serviced by the center of excellence.
> Assemble and disassemble electrical products of all levels including motor controls, circuit breakers, etc. This includes all sub-assemblies to the component level and large-scale units.
> Support aftermarket products and perform time entry transactions through Eaton proprietary software systems.
> Visually check components and assemblies for electrical and mechanical defects.
> Read and understand blueprint and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.
> Complete sub-assembly and wiring of any product as assigned.
> Maintain quality records, calibration records, charts, and area performance to forecast as directed.
> Receive direction and assignments from the assigned leader and report any problems to the leader.
Qualifications
> Min High School diploma. Trade certificate / experience from a hands-on technical skill is an asset.
> Min 2 years’ experience in a mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation technology.
> No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 80 km of Kitchener to be considered.
> Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
> Demonstrated strong mechanical ability and familiarity with control circuitry.
> Familiarity with process and procedures of Statistical Quality Control Methods.
> Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and additional technical materials.
> Strong Hand tool experience.
> Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills.
> Effective time management and prioritization skills.
> Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.
> Understanding of the company’s and competitor’s electrical, electronic, and mechanical products.
> Effective communicator and interpersonal skills, including excellent oral, written communication, and listening skills.
