The Senior Platform Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing core platform frameworks. This role requires working collaboratively with both senior and junior IT resources, as well as cross-functional teams across the organization. The successful candidate will ensure platforms are reliable, secure, up-to-date, and aligned with business objectives. Additionally, the Senior Platform Engineer will partner with architecture teams to make strategic decisions regarding supported platforms.

Responsibilities
Build and deploy high-complexity, reliable, and resilient platforms optimized for high availability and disaster recovery.
Develop and configure platform builds; assist with automation processes for deployments and support transitions to higher environments.
Research product capabilities, best practices, and test platform resiliency.
Collaborate with project teams to validate platform functionality and flag potential issues.
Optimize platform performance, document procedures, and create automated deployment processes.
Maintain platform roadmaps, manage security patches, and uphold security requirements.
Monitor and analyze system resource usage to develop system performance enhancements.
Provide tier 3 support as needed and coach/mentor other platform engineers.
Run training sessions and review platform support documentation to ensure adherence to standards.
Liaise with IT subject matter experts and contribute to platform design during the Analysis & Design phase.
Qualifications
Education:
Post-secondary diploma or university degree in a related discipline, or a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Experience:
3-5 years of Middleware experience.
3-5 years of technology infrastructure experience.
6-9 years of experience with automation platforms (e.g., GitLab, Ansible Tower, UiPath, Artifactory).
6-9 years of experience in web application design and support.
3-5 years of experience with Hadoop.
6-9 years of experience with Informatica products (BDM, Axon, PowerCenter, MDM).
3-5 years of experience with private/public cloud technologies.
3-5 years of development experience (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl, Ansible, Git).
3-5 years of experience with identity management solutions (e.g., WSO2, ADFS).
Skills:
Comprehensive understanding of both relational and non-relational databases.
Proven track record of delivering development projects using agile methodologies.
Ability to build confidence with clients, staff, and management; recognized as a leader in their field.
Demonstrated capability to implement best practices for major technology projects.
Strong troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficiency in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of information security standards such as PCI, SOC1/2.
Familiarity with data analytics and data science.
Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
Expertise in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
