The Plant Manager is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and overall management of plant operations. This role includes overseeing staffing and production in a unionized environment, as well as guiding the development and performance of the facility team to ensure growth in production, revenue, and the quality of goods produced within the division.

Responsibilities
- Align with Company Vision: Lead manufacturing and plant initiatives across product lines.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business strategies to enhance processes and corporate performance.
- Quality Management:
- Support new product development via the corporate Quality System.
- Establish and maintain quality policies, monitor objectives, and conduct reviews.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track divisional progress against goals and take corrective actions.
- Analyze and report daily, monthly, and annual KPIs and trends.
- Team Leadership:
- Meet with department leads to resolve interdepartmental issues.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, terminations, and performance management.
- Employee Morale: Promote strong business ethics and a positive workplace aligned with corporate direction.
- Policy Development: Enhance policies, procedures, and service systems to meet divisional goals.
- Financial Oversight:
- Monitor P&L and ensure budget commitments are met or exceeded.
- Approve plans for output control, budgeting, and resource management.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director, Operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or commerce or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of operations experience within a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of supervisory experience (mentoring, coaching, and motivating the team)
- Experience with planning, inventory management, financials and budgeting
- You have strong communication skills (written, verbal)
- You are organized and approach your work proactively with strong problem-solving skills.
