Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate plant projects from inception to commissioning, ensuring alignment with operational objectives. Oversee project execution using project management processes while adhering to change management (MOC) and documentation control protocols.
Identify opportunities to enhance plant processes, equipment, and systems to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency. Analyze new equipment and optimize resource utilization to develop innovative work methods.
Troubleshoot operational challenges, assist in plant start-ups, and implement planning and control techniques. Develop and revise production procedures, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Assess industrial performance by setting objectives based on production priorities. Improve key performance areas, including safety, environmental compliance, production quality, profitability, equipment reliability, and overall plant efficiency.
Contribute to the development and implementation of safety and quality procedures. Conduct audits and preventive actions, identify potential hazards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide training on risk management and promote a safety-first culture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and enhance operational efficiency. Identify root causes of process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to drive sustained improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
3+ years of experience in an industrial plant setting.
Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills.
Industrial plant environment, requiring work at heights, confined spaces, and exposure to loud and hot areas.
Technical Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting piping isometrics, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
Understanding of energy isolation procedures and hazard identification.
Knowledge of control panel operations and operator interface consoles.
Strong ability to communicate technical issues effectively to various stakeholders.
