This position is responsible for planning and scheduling packaging in the Kirkland packaging department. The Senior Planner is tasked with anticipating the production schedule of finished goods, both short-term and long-term. The master production schedule is not based on sales forecasts but instead represents a scheduled production statement, as opposed to anticipated demand. This plan takes into account plant capacity limitations as well as the need to utilize this capacity optimally. The master production schedule indirectly determines the supply needs and timelines for all production components included in the finished goods being manufactured.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities for the Production Planner in Kirkland:
Plan and schedule products for packaging.
Program packaging lines for optimal efficiency, taking into account the availability of filled products (including bulk), equipment, stock levels, medication priorities, marketing demands, and production cycles.
Update and maintain capacity parameters in SAP in collaboration with packaging supervisors.
Evaluate MRP and MPS needs.
Oversee and maintain production orders in SAP, including rework orders.
Plan and schedule the introduction of new products.
Lead weekly product status meetings with the packaging department.
Actively participate in monthly Sales and Operations meetings.
Respond to requests from the packaging staff and other departments.
Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, ethical practices, cGMP, and relevant business regulations.
Collaborate in resolving quality issues with the Quality and Packaging departments.
Review and maintain standard operating procedures related to planning.
Participate in the development of the Supply Chain Management concept in coordination with production, quality, planning, and new product introductions.
Manage special assignments as delegated.
Act as a substitute for the Document Control Coordinator for printing production batch records.
Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Production Planner Position in Kirkland
Required Skills:
Expertise in packaging lines and equipment.
Proficiency in computer tools and software.
Experience with SAP or other ERPs.
Bilingual.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Initiative and innovation mindset.
Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Science, DEC in Production, or approximately 10 years of relevant experience.
CPIM certification (a plus).
Experience in a pharmaceutical environment under cGMP regulations.
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management..
