Are you a Licensed Pharmacist interested in a role in the Niagara Region that offers a unique opportunity to work in a non-patient-facing setting on steady day shifts, allowing for wonderful work/life balance? We are supporting a client pharmacy in St. Catharines with their search for a Staff Pharmacist who will join a well-established pharmacy team (tons of pharmacist overlap) and will focus on the delivery of patient care and service to patients of residential care facilities. This is an in-dispensary role only (no remote work, no on-site work at group or long term care homes in this role).
The Pharmacist would be expected to work a 40-hour schedule - Monday-to-Friday 9am - 5pm and share Saturdays (11am-3pm) on a fair basis (approximately 2 or 3 times per month).
Competitive compensation is open to discussion based on experience, expectations and internal equity (our estimate is posted but we would encourage you to get in touch if you require something outside of the range we have advertised as our client may be open to discussion). Responsibilities
Pharmacist - Niagara Region - Healthcare
- Ensuring the safe and proper production and verification of medications for residential care facilities (long term care pharmacy)
- Supporting teamwork to coordinate drug deliveries with the delivery team to support the medication management system for residential care facilities
- Work closely with the pharmacy team to guarantee that medication orders are filled accurately, safely, promptly, and thoroughly.
- Complete daily responsibilities in line with established workplace protocols and procedures.
- Consult with the pharmacy management team for unresolved daily operational issues.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to pharmacy patients and client partners.
- Maintain professional communication with the residential facility care teams, adhering to corporate policies to uphold the highest standards of customer care and pharmacy service quality.
- Review medication regimens and profiles, documenting recommendations accordingly.
- Adhere to all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing pharmacy practice, as well as corporate rules and procedures.
- Assist in managing and overseeing pharmacy inventory.
- Contribute to the training and support of new and existing pharmacy team members as needed.
- Other duties as required to support patient care and safety (no direct patient-facing work involved)
Qualifications

- Licensed Pharmacist in Ontario and in good standing with the College of Pharmacy required
