They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their finance team and support accurate and timely payroll processing for their growing workforce.

Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
- Administer employee deductions, benefits, and garnishments, and reconcile payroll accounts monthly.
- Prepare and issue ROEs, T4s, and other payroll-related documentation.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, time tracking, and reimbursements, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to update employee records and ensure payroll accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with tax laws, filing requirements, and company policies.
- Support year-end payroll activities, including adjustments and reconciliations.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance payroll efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in the manufacturing or related industries.
- Certification in Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is nice to have.
- Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
