Responsibilities
• Gather employee hours worked information.
• Accurately calculate payroll, including overtime, deductions, and bonuses, using payroll software.
• Conduct 4-Eyes audits and be present in the office on Payroll Processing Tuesdays.
• Process Short Term Disability Cases.
• Process taxes and employee benefit payments.
• Maintain accurate records of pay rates, wages, compensation, benefits, and new hire information.
• Address employee and management payroll inquiries.
• Process Records of Employment (ROEs) promptly.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Administrator.
• Knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and payroll software (e.g., Kronos, ADP).
• High level of confidentiality and trustworthiness.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting, or a related field is a plus.
• Progress towards PCP designation with The National Institute of Payroll is an asset.
