Responsibilities
1) Performance Management: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including Cost per Unit, Variable Cost per Unit, Units per Hour, inventory accuracy, and employee utilization to ensure optimal performance.
2) Safety Compliance: Create and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance
3) Training and Development: Manage training programs to ensure employees follow Method, Pace, and Safe Motion Dynamics, and maintain documentation of standard work methods.
4) Staffing and Planning: Utilize system reporting and volume forecasts to maintain adequate staffing levels, with proactive planning for peak volumes.
5) Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and other teams to identify process improvements that enhance overall team performance.
6) Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team for general warehouse activities, focusing on succession planning and upskilling opportunities.
7)Project Leadership: Lead special projects that align with the site's and company’s strategic business objectives.
Qualifications
1) 6+ years of experience in general distribution and direct-to-consumer operations, preferably in settings with variable volume demands.
2) Distribution full cycle processes
3) Strong problem solving skills while creating positive revenue
4) Proven experience in maximizing team productivity and growth
5) Proficient in Microsoft Office (strong with Excel)
6) Adept at engaging with individuals and teams to gather opinions, actively listen, challenge concepts, and reach consensus
7) Knowledgeable regarding lean manufacturing and change management
