The Operations Manager supports the General Manager by overseeing warehousing, distribution, and packaging operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the distribution center (receiving, storage, order picking, shipping).
Ensure that performance objectives are met (KPIs: productivity, quality, error rate, safety).
2. Identify and implement continuous improvement actions to optimize operational efficiency.
Team management
Supervise and motivate a team of Team Leaders and indirectly logistics operators (100 to 300 employees
depending on the site).
Define schedules and organize the distribution of tasks.
Train and support Team Leaders to develop their team management skills.
Participate in the recruitment and integration of new employees.
3. Quality, safety and compliance
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and internal rules.
Analyze incidents and implement preventive actions.
Collaborate with the HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) teams to ensure a safe working environment.
4. Analysis and reporting
Monitor and analyze performance indicators to propose areas for improvement.
Report regularly to management on activity, results and resource requirements.
Contribute to the implementation of cost and process optimization strategies.
Qualifications
University degree in a related field (supply chain/logistics, business management)
Significant experience in operations management, ideally in logistics, supply chain or industrial
production.
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
Ability to manage multiple teams and drive performance.
Excellent communication and ability to motivate teams.
Good command of data management and analysis tools
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Significant experience in warehouse operations
Expertise in workplace health and safety practices
