The apprentice Industrial millwright will work closely with other industrial millwrights in maintenance department and will provide support in preventive maintenance activities on process equipment, project work, and help other maintenance millwrights.

• Salary: $32/hr
• Schedule: Mostly afternoon shift, 2PM-10PM weekends and weekdays. Must also be available to work morning shift 6AM-2PM

Your Responsibilities
• Ensure full compliance with safety policies and procedures set by the company.
• Perform 5S activities in maintenance areas.
• Ensure proper housekeeping in maintenance department including cleaning of workplace.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment such as lubrication and inspection.

• Work with industrial equipment e.g. conveyors, fans, pumps, and compressors.
• Use workshop equipment such as lathe, milling and welding to minimize unplanned down time.
• Troubleshooting and fabrication in the maintenance department
• Understand and comply with company health and safety rules, and lock out procedures
• Document all maintenance and repair activities in CMMS and logbooks
• Help maintenance millwrights and support maintenance projects as needed.
Your Background and Strengths
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in apprenticeship program with recognized institute.
• 2 years of Theoretical completion or Completion of first two years of apprenticeship program is required
• Prior knowledge of WHMIS.
• Strong Mechanical aptitude.
• Fair computer skills.
• Good Communication skills (verbal, non-verbal).
• Flexibility to work in rotating shifts/weekend shift
• Must own tools
