Responsibilities
Lead projects related to manufacturing paint lines and future designs, including capital project development, vendor selection, front-end engineering design, design reviews, fabrication, acceptance testing, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover to operations.
Drive continuous improvement and optimization of paint lines for enhanced performance.
Minimize machine downtime by implementing maintenance and preventative maintenance strategies (delegating actual repairs and maintenance tasks to the maintenance department).
Develop manufacturing strategies for new projects through detailed feasibility studies, project timing assessments, and cost estimates.
Provide technical support for evaluating various manufacturing scenarios.
Ensure manufacturing paint lines achieve key metrics for uptime, availability, reliability, including OEE, cycle time, quality, and lead times.
Create and deliver training programs for operations and maintenance technicians to facilitate a smooth transition of new equipment.
Ensure all equipment, processes, and procedures adhere to applicable standards, company policies, and Health and Safety regulations.
Expertise in powder paint applications and processes.
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
3 to 5 years of experience with powder paint applications.
CAD experience (Inventor, AutoCAD) is preferred.
Experience with quality systems and processes.
Familiarity with large-scale industrial paint systems and projects.
Design and document processes, including the development and publication of Standard Operating Procedures.
