As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing production systems, improving manufacturability of complex machinery designs, and providing technical leadership across machining and assembly processes. Responsibilities
▪ Process Optimization: Lead the optimization of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes to enhance production efficiency and reduce operational costs.
▪ Collaboration with Design Teams: Work with product design teams to assess manufacturability, offering feedback and suggestions to improve design efficiency.
▪ Manufacturing Planning: Develop and implement detailed manufacturing plans, including the selection of equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring high production quality
▪ Continuous Improvement: Utilize lean manufacturing principles to reduce cycle times, enhance processes, and implement cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
▪ Technical Expertise: Provide advanced knowledge in machining processes, including CNC programming, turning, milling, grinding, and other fabrication techniques.
▪ Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Collaborate with operators to resolve complex machining issues and improve operational efficiency.
▪ Machine Setup & Maintenance: Oversee the setup, calibration, and maintenance of machinery to ensure peak performance and quality.
▪ Tooling Development: Work with the tooling and die team to design and optimize custom tools, fixtures, and dies for improved manufacturing accuracy.
▪ Assembly Process Improvement: Evaluate and enhance assembly operations, driving productivity improvements and ensuring product quality.
▪ Quality Assurance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes meet or exceed quality standards by closely collaborating with the quality control team.
▪ Root Cause Analysis: Lead initiatives for root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures to address recurring production issues.
▪ Project Management: Work with cross-functional teams to maintain production timelines, identifying and resolving roadblocks to ensure quality delivery.
▪ Mentorship & Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff, fostering professional development.
▪ Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
▪ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
▪ Experience: 5-7 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically in custom machinery, machining, tool and die, and assembly processes.
▪ In-depth knowledge of machining processes such as CNC operations, turning, milling, grinding, and assembly techniques.
▪ Experience in manufacturability analysis and design for manufacturability.
▪ Familiarity with raw materials, heat treatment applications, and tooling systems.
▪ Proven ability in tooling, jigs, fixtures, and die development and troubleshooting.
▪ Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
▪ Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
▪ Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
