Responsibilities
Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and meet production goals.
Troubleshoot production-related issues with equipment, materials, and processes, implementing solutions to resolve any inefficiencies.
Support and contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing production effectiveness and cost savings.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures, process diagrams, and guidelines for the production team.
Conduct time studies and performance assessments to establish production benchmarks and identify opportunities for improvements.
Work closely with design and production teams to refine and enhance equipment and tooling.
Provide technical training and support to production staff to ensure optimal process execution.
Monitor production schedules and assist in planning to ensure that operations run smoothly and on time.
Support overall maintenance and quality assurance activities to ensure high standards of production and safety.
Qualifications
1. A degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, etc.) P. Eng is must.
2. Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a focus on process improvement.
3. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting production challenges.
5. Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, including Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
6. Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
7. Strong communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
8. Knowledge of quality and safety standards in manufacturing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
