Responsibilities
Assess the need to train Project Managers and Estimators on the topics below:
o Internal standards in Project Management
o Internal policies and processes as they relate to Project Management
o Industry best practices for a PM/EST
o Software such as Accubid, CRM, Procore, ERP
o Other skills needed for their role as a PM / Estimator
-Standardizing and aligning best practices across company operating units
-Train and mentor PM’s with Job Status Reports and other reports
-Monitor and manage compliance with Estimating and Project Management policies
-Review Project Management policies and processes for relevancy and for the need for improvements
-Contribute to aligning purpose, values, direction and standards across Houle, by supporting and mentoring PM/Est in conjunction with the leadership group
-Mark Project Manager assessment surveys and review results with managers and employee
-Assist, or observe estimate and technical reviews when requested by the operational manager or Chief Estimator
-Keep up to date with the latest Industry best practices, trends, regulations, and risks
Qualifications
-15+ years working in Project Management and Estimating electrical work in a construction / contracting environment with a track record of successful project delivery
-Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
-Exceptional knowledge of PM best practices
-Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop others
-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Accubid
-Must be team player with good interpersonal and English communication skills
