Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
o Prepare RFQ documentation, review proposals, select winning proposals, and
award contracts.
o Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
o Coordinate with external contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely and
efficient project execution.
o Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues.
o Implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost
overruns.
o Actively work to reduce and manage risk on projects
Contingency Planning:
o Developing robust contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and
disruptions.
Financial Management:
o Manage project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports.
o Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to optimize costs.
o Monitor project budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Stakeholder Management:
o Build strong relationships with members, contractors, and other stakeholders.
o Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to keep them informed of project
progress and potential challenges.
o Resolve conflicts and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
Quality Assurance:
o Enforce strict quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.
o Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and
regulations.
o Implement quality assurance procedures to minimize defects and rework.
Safety and Compliance:
o Prioritize safety and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
o Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans for each project.
o Conduct regular safety training and inspections to ensure a safe work
environment.

-Coordinate with Fleet manager for fleet maintenance and purchasing as needed.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a CCA Gold Seal or equivalent Project Management Certification such as CAPM or PMP.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of CANADIAN experience in construction project management.
- Proven track record in managing complex commercial construction projects with budgets ranging from $6 million to $10 million.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project scheduling techniques.
-Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
-Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
-Proficiency in construction management software (AutoCad, Excel)
Assets
-Advanced planning and logistics capabilities
- Extensive experience working in remote and challenging environments, particularly in Canada's Arctic region.
