Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, perform machinery overhauls, and install machinery.
- Proficient in pump and motor alignment, equipment disassembly, reassembly, and precise measurement and adjustment of components within specified tolerances.
- Collaborate with instrumentation and electrical departments to troubleshoot and resolve daily machinery issues.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols and comply with industrial regulations as per ministry guidelines.
Qualifications
- A valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License (433A) is required.
- Must own a complete set of metric and standard tools (up to 24mm/1").
- Red Seal Journeyperson certification is preferred.
- Experience with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, and welding/cutting.
- Proficiency in all-position welding (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.) is an asset.
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Must be available for shift work, extended hours, and some weekends.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with other trades and operators.
- Safety training (fall arrest, hoisting and rigging, hand tool safety, etc.) is an asset.
