They are seeking an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team and drive operational excellence.
This role focuses on enhancing equipment reliability, implementing proactive maintenance systems, and fostering a culture of trust, empowerment, and collaboration.

Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime hours, rotating on-call schedule
Environment: Heavy Industrial - Trades unionized
Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 per year (range based on experience and certification)

Responsibilities
As a Maintenance & Engineering Manager your duties will include:
- Lead the development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
- Oversee plant maintenance activities, including managing physical assets such as buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) techniques.
- Provide leadership and coaching to develop a high-performing, engaged, and collaborative maintenance team.
- Drive technical problem-solving efforts to identify, eliminate, and sustain solutions to equipment issues.
- Manage plant engineering activities, including design, cost estimation, compliance, and project execution.
- Develop and manage department budgets, long-term planning, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.
- Utilize SAP and other tools for maintenance tracking, reporting, and system development.
- Oversee product development, process implementation, and project commissioning efforts as needed.
Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Journeyman Red Seal Millwright or Industrial Electrician certification is preferred.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience within large-scale industrial manufacturing.
- 3+ years in a supervisor or management capacity
- Experience managing staff in a unionized environment is an asset
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing would be considered an asset
- Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet operational demands.
- Able to handle frequent time spent on the plant floor, walking, standing, and monitoring operations.
