Responsibilities
Prepare, sort, and process outgoing and incoming mail, packages, and supplies.
Utilize automated systems to track shipping and receiving activities, record logs, and maintain organized documentation.
Operate mailroom equipment, including color production printers, mail inserters, sorters, and finishing tools.
Perform charge-back reporting for postage and shipping, and complete mail labeling and electronic distribution.
Monitor inventory and reorder supplies as necessary.
Conduct scheduled mail deliveries and pickups.
Ensure compliance with mailroom security protocols and perform quality checks on outgoing items.
Resolve mail issues, track lost packages, and arrange alternative shipping solutions.
Assist with assembly, packaging, and fulfillment of materials as needed.
Qualifications
MUST HAVES:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional, client-facing environment; 1-2 years in a mailroom setting is preferred.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a mailroom environment DOCK
- Experience with lift truck and material handling equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift packages up to 50 pounds.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic intermediate computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Willingness to learn and improve workflow processes for cost savings.
