Location: South of Ottawa, near the Leitrim area - not bus friendly
We are looking for one strong individual to add to this team's dynamic. Does this sound like you?
Advantages
The rate is 18 - 19.50/hr
- Full-time stable hours
- Monday – Friday, no weekends (some overtime will be required)
- You will gain experience in operating various machinery and equipment
- Opportunity for permanency
- Able to work with a strong and close-knit team
Responsibilities
- Operate various machines such as a shear machine and a bender machine
- Handle various power tools and equipment – drills, saws, and screws
- Navigating the material within the shop- large steel, metal and even wooden parts
- Arrange materials in designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness in the workspace
Qualifications
- Experience in using various hand tools and equipment
- Experience in a machine shop is needed
- Experience and interest in operating a machine
- Must be physically fit and highly interested in doing physical labor – handling bigger materials
- Experience in working at a fabrication facility is a definite asset
- Must have experience in general labour
