We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join one of our clients on a contract basis in South Kitchener, ON. This position is hybrid but will require the employee to work at 2 locations in the Waterloo Region. The successful candidate must have their own transportation to access the client's office locations. Please also note that the successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check as part of the offer process.

Responsibilities
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day operational orders from USA and imports orders arriving in Canada.
- Follow up with Brokers on the arrival of orders delivering to Canada until confirmed in the external or internal warehouse.
- Responsible for day-to-day operational relationships with various third-party providers, including: the warehouse service provider and the management of the logistics service provider.
- Responsible for inbound receiving and SAP inventory transactions to guarantee stock available in accordance with the proper process and procedure administration.
- Support site and/or warehouse certification or customer audits and implement corrective actions to address any audit findings.
- Support the root cause investigation of any customer or internal complaint where it concerns possibly issues related to warehousing or transportation.
- Inventory reconciliation with the external warehouse in Canada.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience with Warehousing and Transportation in general and Hazmat materials.
- Knowledge of distribution and the management of the 3rd party logistics service providers.
- Experience with outsourcing of complex and very high standard distribution and warehousing activities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and/or external parties.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Teams.
- SAP knowledge, R/3 and Business Warehouse software is an asset.
- Problem-solving skills in a complex and fast-moving environment.
- Experience in the pet food industry is an asset but not required.
- Must have own transportation as they n to commute between 2 local sites (Ayr and Waterloo)
