Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end logistics needs for the clients shipment requests for over-the-road LTL and FTL for North American lanes (cross-border and inter-USA / inter-Canada shipments)
- Manage the relations with transporter companies
- Plan and coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules
- Track and report shipment status to customers
- Answer to quotes and rates requests, using negotiation skills for best profit margins
- Maintain positive relationships with all customers, clients, carriers and internal staff
- Stay on-top of delivery statuses, track and trace, proactively communicate update with customers
- Ensure that freight paperwork is completed and approved before transportation
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in 3PL or brokerage industry
- Advanced English communication skills as many communications are with clients across Canada and USA, French is required to speak with Quebec based carriers
- Dynamic, multitasker, team player
- Strong communication, organization skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of computer system Dispatchmate and Loadlink (Asset)
