Responsibilities
- Book international air, ocean, and road transportation services at lowest cost
- Work with freight forwarders and other service providers to optimize inbound and outbound shipments
- Oversee Canadian and US customs related activities, including:
- Ensure customs compliance with Canadian and USA customs regulations and prepare all related documentation
- Verify customs entries (tariff classification, origin determination etc)
- NAFTA management
- Provide support to co-workers requiring customs knowledge
- Other administrative tasks and special projects
Qualifications
- Bilingual (French and English)
- 3 to 5 years related experience import / export
- Knowledge of Worldwide ports, airports and routing options
- A certificate from recognized Logistics accredited program
- Proficiency in MS-Office Suite
- Excellent communications skills (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Organized, detail oriented, computer savvy, team player
- Professionalism
- Ability to work under pressure and with short deadline
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
