In this role, you’ll manage contracts from start to finish, making sure everything aligns with company policies and legal guidelines. Responsibilities
Duties for the Legal Administrator include;
•Manage all contract administration tasks throughout the contract life cycle, including approval, compliance, execution, amendments, and renewal.
•Find tenders and prepare all required tender paperwork and project documentation accurately, including bonds and insurance certificates if needed for
the contract.
•Handle reporting, measure quantities, and manage billing, claims, and payment certifications.
•Ensure all contract requirements are met before approving the final invoice and prepare Statutory Declarations as necessary.
•Receive requests, create estimates, update records, start paperwork, and follow up on requests for approval of work not included in the contract.
•Create and update records of all contract-related correspondence.
•Develop, process, and implement contract documents and change notices in a timely manner.
•Responsible for fleet management including licensing, maintenance files, fleet monitoring, permits and insurance renewals.
•Assist with hiring new employees, manage the health and safety program, provide in-house training, and arrange training with outside providers for employees.
Qualifications
•Proven experience in contract administration or a similar role is preferred.
•Must have good grasp of legal terminology relating to tenders and contracts.
•Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure and be able to multi-task.
•Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
•Experience and knowledge in the construction industry.
•Experience preparing and issuing procurement documentation.
•Proficient in using computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Outlook).
•A customer service mindset to address client needs promptly and professionally.
•Personal transportation is required as the company is not on a bus route.
