Responsibilities
• Lead and contribute to complex learning projects, delivering consistent, timely, and effective learning solutions that drive business outcomes.
• Translate complex ideas and theories into simple, clear, learner-friendly content using plain language principles.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and course owners to identify content gaps and learning needs, and develop tailored solutions under tight deadlines.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, offering consultative insights and partnering effectively with internal teams.
• Influence stakeholders with professionalism, confidence, and diplomacy.
• Build strong working relationships and use them to access meaningful data and feedback.
• Design and develop interactive, blended learning materials (eLearning, videos, virtual sessions, assessments, etc.) that meet performance and accessibility standards.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, accessibility requirements (including WCAG 2.2), and principles of diversity and inclusion.
• Apply learning and performance evaluation strategies, leveraging industry best practices and standards.
• Analyze learning data to uncover insights and communicate findings clearly and effectively.
• Contribute thought leadership and stay current with emerging trends in instructional design and learning technology.
• Help foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Identify risks, address concerns proactively, and escalate issues when needed.
• Use your understanding of the business to create relevant and credible learning solutions.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Instructional Designer/Developer (with a stronger focus on development).
• Educational background in Instructional Design or Adult Learning (Certificate or equivalent).
• In-depth knowledge of question design and assessment best practices.
• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and experience with screen readers (e.g., JAWS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced skills developing accessible, high-impact learning content across modalities (eLearning, videos, self-paced learning, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Advanced experience with Articulate 360 suite (Storyline, Rise, etc.).
• Skilled in video development using tools such as Vyond.
• Experience designing training for the financial services industry.
• Certification in Training/Performance Evaluation from organizations such as Kirkpatrick Partners, ATD, or Training Industry.
• Video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia, or other Adobe tools.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
• Interest in staying current with learning design, evaluation trends, and new technologies.
• 2+ years of experience in evaluation, measurement, or business analysis.
• Experience with survey creation and proficiency assessments (e.g., Qualtrics, LMS-based assessments).
• Strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills.
