ds for asset deployment and desktop support in NSH facilities. They will mostly provide assistance at healthcare facilities, and occasionally within other NSH sites in the region. This resource will be focused on the Halifax area. They will focus on daily operational support and deployment of end user computers and equipment and will therefore need to be physically capable of being on their feet and walking throughout facilities for a typical 7.5 hour workday. They will need to have experience with onsite, direct, face-to-face support of clients and systems. They will need to have a strong work ethic and the ability to work alone, while reporting back to a local coordinator. They must have excellent communication and collaboration skills and will work with internal and external team members to ensure that the project is delivered successfully.

- Onsite and remote support of clients and devices in healthcare facilities
- Deployment of net new computers and accessories
- Refresh of currently deployed computers with new hardware
- These responsibilities would include tasks such as the following:
o Device imaging
o Software installation and support
o Information gathering (with clients)
o Troubleshooting
o Physical exchange of devices located under and on client desks
o Tracking and reporting of daily work
o Other duties within skillset as assigned by lead and/or manager
Qualifications
a motivated IT Technician who is capable of performing end user support and equipment replacements in order to bolster local CSDS field services operations.
The qualifications are as follows:
- An IT diploma or equivalent (e.g., NSCC, Eastern College, University diploma)
- Demonstrated experience in customer service
- Demonstrated experience in onsite, direct support of clients, and devices
- A diligent worker who is able to perform tasks as requested without the need for a high level of supervision
The following requirements must be met for any resources working in NSH facilities:
• IT diploma from a recognized institute
• A satisfactory criminal record check (RCMP)
• An immunization form needs to be completed confirming immunity to the following, or that bloodwork or vaccinations are scheduled or in progress:
o Measles, Mumps, Rubella (vaccination date)
o Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (vaccination date)
o Varicella (vaccination date, or bloodwork to confirm antibodies that would be present if the person had chicken pox)
