Responsibilities
Production Leadership & Coordination
• Lead and manage end-to-end production for photography and video content, ensuring quality and efficiency at every stage.
• Oversee studio and on-location shoots, ensuring all aspects of production run smoothly.
• Coordinate and schedule all pre-production, production, and post-production activities.
• Supervise the production process, including image capture (photography, illustration, graphics) and ensure top-quality visual outputs.
• Work collaboratively with Art Directors, Copywriters, and Project Managers to bring creative concepts to life.
• Manage production budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Handle talent negotiations and contracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Creative & Strategic Execution
• Partner with internal and external teams, including production companies, talent agencies, and creative agencies, to deliver high-quality content.
• Provide creative input and problem-solving expertise to improve production quality and efficiency.
• Support content strategy development, ensuring visuals align with brand and project objectives.
• Act as a resource to the in-house creative team, providing guidance on production best practices.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience producing photography and video content, with a focus on studio production and product photography.
• Corporate and agency production experience is an asset.
• Located in Calgary, Alberta, with the ability to travel for shoots.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Expertise in production technology, including cameras, lighting, sound, and design.
• Strong problem-solving skills—able to anticipate production challenges and plan accordingly.
• Excellent negotiation, budgeting, and administrative skills, ensuring projects remain cost-effective and on schedule.
• Strong interpersonal skills—able to work with clients, creative teams, and external partners effectively.
• Experience executing and renewing talent usage contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to stay composed under pressure.
