Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities of this IT Technician - Maintenance and Support at this Industrial Product Manufacturing company located in Ville Saint-Laurent ;
Provide first-line IT support and assist with problem resolution.
Process and prioritize all incidents and service requests. Prioritize problems according to severity and priority.
Record all IT incidents and service requests in ServiceDesk.
Record and process support calls. If a First Call Response (FCR) cannot be provided, forward it to the appropriate person who will resolve it or provide details of expected delays.
Respond in a timely manner to service requests and incidents from company staff or customers.
Respect SLAs when resolving incidents or escalate if necessary.
Complete integration, departure and other IT workflows.
Install and remove IT equipment.
Maintain log of loaned equipment (loans).
Organize equipment repairs: laptops, computers and monitor condition (equipment under warranty).
Obtain quotations for computer hardware, software and miscellaneous equipment for user needs while being consistent with computer equipment standards, and purchase if necessary.
Order replacement components for broken equipment or upgrades (mice, keyboards, hard disks, memory).
Imaging computers, preparing cell phones.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of software and hardware (PCs, laptops, printers) within the organization. Assist Infrastructure and Applications teams if requested and free of charge.
Document and maintain technical specifications for work instructions, standard operating procedures, etc.
Provide technical support beyond normal office hours on a rotational basis as required.
Respond to urgent incidents by cell phone and be available for on-site assistance when called.
Qualifications
Here are the qualifications required for the position of IT Technician - Maintenance and Support at a this Industrial Product Manufacturing company located in Ville Saint-Laurent;
DEC in computer science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
3 to 5 years experience.
Any MICROSOFT, CISCO, CompTIA A+ or similar certification will be an asset.
ITIL certification or good knowledge of ITIL processes is an asset.
Good knowledge of PCs, mobile devices, IoT and network standards, including hardware.
Good knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office and other office applications.
Good knowledge of Enterprise AV solutions.
Good knowledge of endpoint patching solutions.
ITSM solutions.
Good knowledge of IP telephones (Cisco or softphones).
Good knowledge of printer management using print servers.
Good knowledge of O365 products (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Able to think outside the box for non-standard requests.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written.
Team player.
Bilingual (English and French).
