Responsibilities
•Firewall Administration: Manage next-generation firewall policies, perform rule reviews and cleanups, and optimize configurations.
•Incident Response: Participate in real-time security event monitoring, root cause analysis, and resolution of critical incidents.
•Network Security Operations: Oversee day-to-day tasks related to firewall governance, orchestration solutions, and documentation of infrastructure changes.
•Data & Threat Analysis: Identify malicious indicators in network forensic data; research emerging threat tactics and publish actionable intelligence.
•Asset Management: Provide advanced support for security platforms, liaise with vendors, and manage new security solutions acquisitions.
•Service Management: Resolve service tickets related to network security, follow ITIL processes, and apply continuous improvement strategies.
•Documentation & Compliance: Update technical documentation, adhere to security policies, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Qualifications
•5+ years of experience in Cyber Security, including administration of network security solutions.
•Expertise in next-gen firewalls, firewall governance, and orchestration, and web application firewalls.
•Proven ability to manage and enhance IDS/IPS, SIEM, and DNS firewall solutions.
•Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework or comparable standards.
•Demonstrated experience with ITIL processes and strong problem-solving abilities.
•CISSP, GCIH, OCSP, CCIE-Security or equivalent credentials.
•Knowledge of utility or large enterprise environments considered an asset.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, influencing, and negotiation capabilities.
