Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the development of program management strategy/plans, budget/forecast, managing deadlines and dependencies across initiatives, resourcing, and coordination of project team activities within the program. Management of a portfolio of projects that will document business requirements, design and deliver IT solutions that are compliant with and contribute to the Ministries enterprise architecture.
The major outcomes expected from the business transformation are:
• Making it easier for Albertans and the ministry to interact and seamlessly exchange information with each other
• Collect optimal information needed to effectively play the role of the regulator
• Increase focus on regulation and less on collecting data
• Establish processes which are citizen friendly
• Minimize or eliminate red tape with faster and effective regulation
Qualifications
MUST HAVE
M1 8 Years - Experience developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships across the organization, including executive level.
M2 8 Years - Experience developing program documents including risk logs, and status reporting.
M3 5 Years - Experience in Agile project methodology.
M4 8 Years - Experience in a project or program management role.
M5 8 Years - Experience managing multiple resources and/or delivery teams (including recruitment and removing resources as required).
M6 3 Years - Experience working as a Senior Program Manager on a large complex IT modernization program (where the software is developed in house for that specific organization) in an environment of similar size
and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
M7 8 Years - Senior leadership experience defining program goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
M8 8 Years - Senior leadership experience managing a portfolio of concurrent projects or initiatives staffed with a team of at least 10 people.
M9 8 Years - Senior leadership experience within a complex, business and technical IT environment
NICE TO HAVE
Work Experience
N1 6 years - Experience in business or technical analysis, or a related area
N2 6 years - Experience leading software implementations
N3 6 years - Experience managing Service Design Development and Agile delivery project.
N4 6 years - Experience with ServiceNow platform
N5 3 years - Experience working in or for the public sector.
N6 6 years - Senior leadership experience defining project scope, goals and deliverables such as roadmaps, governance, briefing notes, and business cases that support project goals in collaboration with business
