Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensures all insurance transactions comply with industry regulations and company policies;
• Works closely with insurance brokers, underwriters, and other professionals to ensure the best
insurance coverage and options for the organization;
• Reviews and processes new insurance applications, renewals, and cancellations;
• Coordinates with insurance adjusters and other parties involved in the claims process;
• Maintains accurate records of transactions and communications with external brokers;
• Collaborates with internal departments to address issues and resolve complex cases;
• Evaluates and assesses potential risks to insurance claims;
• Manages all Certificate of Insurance (COI) requests between internal parties and insurance
broker/agency;
• Develops standardized business processes, forms, and templates for insurance needs;
• Develops annual organization plan for business activities and events.
Qualifications
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Renewal experience working with group/cooperative insurance preferred
• Experience working with insurance brokers preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
• Detail oriented with the ability to process complex information
• Sensitivity to the needs of the vulnerable population with disabilities, including challenges in cognition
• Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must work in a safe manner and promote the health and safety of all staff, volunteers, clients and the community as outlined within policies
