Responsibilities
- Implement curriculum design principles and standards to ensure consistency, flexibility, and sustainability of learning materials.
- Quickly familiarize yourself with new project content and apply adult learning principles in all learning material development.
- Formulate and address key questions regarding content/design in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Complete voiceovers and editing for web-based modules.
- Ensure all design components align with learning objectives, desired outcomes, and program strategy.
- Incorporate effective knowledge testing throughout programs using tools such as quizzes, learning activities, knowledge checks, decision-based scenarios, and case studies.
- Demonstrate teamwork, consultation, and professionalism in developing digital, engaging, and interactive learning solutions, including web-based modules, self-guided digital learning solutions, virtual classroom experiences, and instructor-led training
- Exhibit decision-making skills regarding the artistic vision of curriculum builds, transforming content into engaging, interactive experiences for learners.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, with an ability to deliver innovative solutions and leverage data and technology in learning programs.
Display excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with persuasive presentation abilities.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Adult Education or Instructional Design (an asset).
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French (preferred).
- Advanced knowledge and experience with curriculum design tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Connect, and Snagit.
-Expert knowledge of modern adult learning techniques, instructional design, creative writing, and design to create effective learning platforms tailored to project complexity.
- Proficiency in developing detailed WBT storyboards and ILT design layouts using set design templates.
- Adaptable and creative in developing materials for diverse needs, including new hires, new skills, systems, sales, service, and product training.
- Proven ability to write concise, creative, and effective instructions for deliverables, including storyboards/scripts, job aids, instructor and participant guides, and e-learning modules.
- Ability to deliver comprehensive programs that achieve projected outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and French.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and satisfaction.
