Responsibilities
- Maintain an unwavering business focus and understanding of the current strategic direction of. Master the Business Case while developing an understanding of the business domain. Manage projects by understanding company strategies, priorities and issues. Assess capabilities to propose appropriate solutions and deliver company values. Manage stakeholders and maintain good relations with internal and external collaborators.
- Define infrastructure program/project mandate and scope in collaboration with program/project sponsors. Initiate activities to start projects and establish a vision of scope with the sponsor.
- Divide the project into achievable tasks and establish a functional organization chart with roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain integrated program/project plans by identifying deliverables and dependencies, estimating duration and associated costs, and participating in the assignment of human resources to sub-activities. Provide timely advice to experts and sponsors throughout the project in order to achieve and respect the targeted objectives. Ensure that the investment in the project offers the best deliverables/products or optimal value to the customer/sponsor.
- Build, lead and coordinate, under direct and/or indirect supervision, the activities of a multidisciplinary team including project managers (PM) and project controllers (PCO).
- Prepare reports on the project as a whole (progress, problems, costs, closure, etc.) while respecting established performance indicators. Lead project risk management. Effectively manage project delivery. Maintain dashboards periodically and progressively throughout the program/project.
- Anticipate problems and difficult situations and take the necessary steps to resolve them. Ensure proactive and effective communication at all levels of the project. Ensure that the right communication channels are in place between project collaborators. Manage relationships with the customer, senior management and senior project managers (where applicable) and meet their expectations.
- Bring leadership and vision to the project. Formalize processes and quality control.
- Support and assist in the ongoing development of the project management practices. Act as a mentor to project team members.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements/ Exigences minimum:
- 7 to 10 years in infrastructure project management (Senior level)
- 2 years in Agile project delivery
- 2 to 3 years in telecom and/or telephony project management
- Good ability to manage difficult stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence
- Political acumen
- Results-oriented
- Dynamic and autonomous
- Langues parlées et écrites / Languages spoken and written: English, French (* English candidate for Toronto and bilingual candidate for Montreal)
