The Industrial Process Technician is responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and controlling production equipment in a manufacturing environment. Working closely with the process engineer and production teams, they ensure optimal performance, conduct daily inspections, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and resolve technical issues. The role also involves analyzing performance indicators and implementing corrective actions to improve manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate should be methodical, autonomous, analytical, with strong problem-solving skills and effective priority management. Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in optics, is a plus, along with proficiency in Office Suite and equipment diagnostics.

Location: Ville St-Laurent
Salary: $57,200+ depending on experience
Duration: Permanent
Important: Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada and already reside in the province of Quebec.

Responsibilities
• Monitor and control production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform daily inspections and maintain a thorough follow-up on equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot and conduct preventive maintenance in collaboration with the maintenance team.
• Identify the causes of malfunctions and propose lasting solutions.
• Optimize manufacturing processes by conducting tests and analyzing production data.
• Ensure smooth communication between production teams and supervisors to maintain operational continuity.
• Analyze performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions.
• Actively participate in continuous process improvement and train teams on best operational practices.
Qualifications
• DEC in industrial processes, engineering, or any equivalent training.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in optics.
• Skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of configuration management and machine communication protocols (VCA) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Office Suite and ability to analyze technical data.
• Excellent manual skills, attention to detail, and rigor.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
• Bilingualism (French, English) required.
