Responsibilities
The Industrial mechanic has to:
- Provides mechanical support to all departments within the facility
- Prevent premature breakdown of the equipment used in production and to operate the facility through continual preventative maintenance
- Ensure a safe work environment through effective maintenance of equipment
- Trouble shoot any mechanical breakdown in the production process to ensure minimal loss in manufacturing of our products
- Work together with all other departments to ensure a productive team environment and the continuous improvement of the plant processes
- Report any concerns and/or problems to supervisor through daily written and verbal reporting
- Understands the mechanics of our facilities processing and packaging equipment and is able to maintain it
- Ensure equipment operating, designed and installed to required GMP standards
- Provide shift report to include parts used downtime and root cause analyses
- Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality and quality
- Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manual
- Adhere to GMP’s and Health and safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
Qualifications
The Industrial mechanic must have:
- A valid 433A license or valid equivalent license from other provinces/countries (send a photo of it by email)
- Certificate of Qualifications, Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright
- Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity
- A high school diploma or equivalent
