Industrial Maintenance Technician

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Handle all machine maintenance, including mechanical, pneumatic, and some electrical
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections
• Ensure effective performance of all machines including disassembly, cleaning, reassembling, and lubricating moving parts
• Record and report damaged or broken parts
• Identify causes of machine breakdowns and complete repairs safely and efficiently
• Accurately complete necessary reports including work orders and machine logs
• Assist in machine and equipment improvement projects

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
• Preventive maintenance and mechanical repair skills
• Some electrical ability or willingness to learn (e.g., troubleshooting with a multi-meter, resetting breakers, changing fuses)
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Good communication skills
• Organized with attention to detail

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of previous mechanical experience required, including a combination of industrial maintenance, repair, machining, welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Electrical and PLC experience preferred
• Vocational or community college coursework in related fields preferred
• Must have own tools/toolbox

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
