Responsibilities
- Project Start-Ups & Maintenance: Conduct start-ups, regular maintenance, and warranty services on commercial kitchen ventilation systems, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with system components (e.g., sensors, actuators, motors, VFDs) and address BAS issues (e.g., BACnet, CANopen).
- Collaboration: Work closely with on-site teams, attend meetings, and provide project updates and training.
- Compliance: Ensure all work meets industry standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA96, IMC).
- Field Adaptability: Perform physical work in challenging environments, including tight or elevated spaces.
- Travel: Primarily GTA-based, with rare travel across Canada and the USA when necessary
Qualifications
- Completion of a school program or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, air conditioning, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in HVAC service and controls is preferred, though we are willing to train a highly motivated and technically adept individual with a strong foundation in HVAC or related fields.
- Certifications (preferred): ANSUL R-102, PLC Programming, Air Balancing.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude.
- Agility for fieldwork and the physical demands of the role
