Being an intern or student at Cascades is a unique opportunity to define your interests and discover your passion as our new intern for the summer of 2025!
Tasks:
- Update Physical HR File Archive
- Archive HR files, adhering to file retention standards
- Organize archived HR files
- Arrange destruction for applicable HR files
- Support transition to electronic HR files
Responsibilities:
- Support enhancement of compliance for driver files (ensure completeness and accuracy)
- Scan and file current employee files to electronic file
- Support in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives
- Assist in planning employee appreciation BBQ
- Support updating and rollout of communication to hourly employees (New MyPlant Space tool, TVs used for communication, bulletin boards)
You too, put your strengths forward:
- Familiarity and proficiency with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- Strong grasp of HR concepts
- Studying HR or related discipline
- Ability to adhere to confidentiality
- Self-starter that looks for opportunities for improvement
- Ability to drive to locations in Southern Ontario as needed (mileage reimbursed)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
