Responsibilities
Manage employee relations and engagement.
Implement HR policies and lead training initiatives.
Assist with recruitment and onboarding.
Oversee HR Information Systems (HRIS).
Handle conflict management and mediation.
Perform various HR administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred, with a minimum of an Associate's degree.
Experience: 4-5+ years in HRBP roles, particularly in retail or manufacturing environments.
Languages: English required; French not necessary.
Personality Fit: Grassroots HR experience (e.g., retail companies like Dollarama or Canadian Tire), adaptable, independent, and pragmatic with comfort in less structured environments.
Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with HR software such as Workday, Taleo, or SuccessFactors, along with knowledge of provincial labor laws.
Summary
The HRBP will manage employee relations, implement HR policies, assist with recruitment and onboarding, oversee HRIS, handle conflict resolution, and perform administrative tasks. This role requires a proactive, adaptable individual with grassroots HR experience, particularly in retail or manufacturing.
