At our facility in Scarborough you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Packaging team as the HR Technician :
- Enter data into payroll and HR systems for creating positions and employee life events
- Participate in administrative activities for talent recruitment, onboarding, and temporary staffing
- Serve as a resource for employees on practices, programs, benefits, and disability management
- Support workforce deployment planning and organize training activities
- Address pay, benefits, HR programs, and system-related queries from supervisors and employees
- Handle full-cycle hourly recruitment, new hire orientation, and exit interviews
- Manage payroll tasks, update employment trackers, handle short-term disability claims, and assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities
- Update the Training Matrix with new training and identify upcoming training needs

You too, put forward your strengths:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Undergraduate or post-graduate studies in Human Resource Management
- Collaborative spirit, high level of autonomy and discretion needed to work closely with all team members
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, employment standard act, disciplinary procedures and disability management
- Flexibility and capacity to support two plants (Scarborough and Mississauga)
- Own a vehicle as you will be travelling to both plants
