At our Bear Island facility in Ashland, VA you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Packaging division as the HR Manager:
Collaborate closely with manufacturing leaders to streamline operational functions while ensuring alignment with HR policies, regulatory standards, and best practices across compensation, benefits, health management, talent management, and leave administration.
Partner with business leaders to drive effective budgeting, workforce planning, and succession planning strategies that align with short to long-term goals
Provide tailored coaching and consulting to empower operations and administrative leadership teams in performance management and workforce development
Champion a dynamic "attract and retain" strategy while leading the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual HR initiatives
Leverage HR analytics to deliver actionable insights and facilitate clear, impactful reporting on HR and company-wide initiatives and updates
Serve as an ambassador for Cascades Packaging - Bear Island facility in the community and at corporate events, fostering strong connections across the USA and Canada
Drive change management efforts through open communication, relationship building, and fostering trust at all levels of the organization
Advocate for continuous improvement by introducing innovative concepts and guiding teams toward achieving their objectives with clarity and purpose

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in human resource partnership
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the US and the State of Virginia
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with HRIS systems like SuccessFactors
- Leadership experience supporting a diverse industrial workforce
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Proven ability to drive buy-in for solutions and lead change initiatives
- Ability and eligibility to travel for business to Canada, ad-hoc(5-10%)
