Responsibilities
As the person in charge of the employee lifecycle :
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates.
Conduct interviews, coordinate hiring processes, and extend job offers.
Organize comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the company.
Employee Engagement & Development:
Foster a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives.
Identify training and development needs, coordinating programs to enhance skills and performance.
Act as a trusted resource for employee concerns, providing guidance and support.
HR Administration & Compliance:
Manage HR documentation, including employment contracts, performance reviews, and policies.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company regulations.
Oversee benefits administration, payroll coordination, and leave management.
Performance Management & Employee Relations:
Support managers in setting performance goals and conducting appraisals.
Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts to maintain a collaborative environment.
Provide coaching and development opportunities for employees and managers at all levels.
Offboarding & Transition Support:
Guide employees through resignation, retirement, or termination processes.
Conduct exit interviews to gather insights for improving the employee experience.
Handle documentation and ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.
HR Strategy & Data Analysis:
Contribute to workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Partner with leadership to align HR practices with company goals.
Qualifications
- College degree in human resources management or an associated field is an asset.
- Minimum of five years' experience as a human resources generalist
- Familiarity and ease collaborating with hiring managers in an industrial environment when necessary.
- Good knowledge of Ontario labour law and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High degree of autonomy
- Excellent ability in using MS office and HR softwares
