This role will primarily focus on recruiting, including screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and participating in job fairs. Additionally, the HR Assistant will provide support for various HR projects, payroll assistance, and other corporate divisions as needed. Responsibilities
Screen resumes and forward qualified candidates to hiring managers
Schedule and coordinate interviews; participate in interview panels
Register for and attend job fairs to support recruitment efforts
Assist with HR software project rollout, including data input and employee training
Update job descriptions and support other HR-related projects as needed
Provide payroll assistance, including monitoring payroll emails, processing expenses, and entering data (training provided if needed)
Support additional corporate divisions, including Fleet and Safety, as required
Travel locally for recruitment events; occasional out-of-province travel (covered by company)
Qualifications
Experience in HR, recruiting, or administration is an asset but not required
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Willingness to learn HR software and payroll processes
Ability to travel locally with a valid driver’s license; out-of-province travel covered by company
