Responsibilities
• Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the PeopleSoft HR/Payroll data, including any tests or validations required
• Assist in the preparation of manual tax slips
• Assist in the preparation of amended tax slips
• Support with all payroll accounting year-end payroll data to ensure they are recorded and processed accurately
• Recommend and implement changes to current processes to gain efficiencies and accuracy
• Responsible for tax adjustments and resolution with business partners
• Process quarterly Director Fees payroll
• Responsible for manual off cycle processing
• Responsible for processing bi-weekly cheque reversals
• Running retiree data integrity reports and ensuring the information on the system is validated/corrected
• Action RMDS reports to correct all data integrity errors to ensure the accuracy of the year-end tax slips
Qualifications
Must have :
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner Designation, (or working on completion) PCP
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Federal/Provincial and U.S. regulatory and legislative requirements related to payroll (Canada Revenue Agency/ Revenu Quebec/IRS)
• A sound knowledge of People Soft (Oracle based HR application), as well as the principals of Resolution Management, and the principals of the Data Integrity Reconciliation
• Strong excel skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
